Southern Africa Motorcycle Outreach Tour

2 April - end June 2026, the URstory outreach team will travel and distribute the Bible Orality Tool, SandBoxBible from Stilbaai, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Southern Mozambique, Swaziland-Eswatini, and Lesotho back to Cape Town.
Sarah B, founder of URstory sandboxbible, will be leading the team. F.C, her brother, recently been called to ministry, is going along. Theunis, (their cousin!) an engineer from Clarens, can strip a bike clean and will fix potential holes as they drive along the dusty roads of Africa, while Ds. Willie, who has been through Africa a few times, can scout ahead for potential problems. Pieter is Mr. High Tech and will keep the drone in the sky so that you can follow us on YouTube @URstoryMotorcycleOutreach. Rianni is a brilliant connector and TESOL teacher, and will be the glue that holds the team together. Our YWAM South Africa Frontier Missions leader, Flip, will drive with us the first leg of this journey. Sarah B will be connecting with the YWAM base leaders and their training coordinators in each country to establish an exciting new outreach opportunity for students in the University of the Nation who need to do their practicum with the College for Bible Engagement.
Most importantly, we have an Intercession team praying for us, and we hope that you will join them where you are! We cannot go without this backup at home. Friday, 3 PM was the time of prayer as recorded in the book of Acts 3:1. Take this hour of the day and PRAY FOR US.

We covet your prayers as we travel to minister at the locations organized in each country. We will be driving roughly 300-400km each day, and one important thing on this list is to pray in Arusha, Kenya, and hopefully make the tallest mountain on this continent part of this journey.

The 2026 Southern Africa Frontier Tour

Propelling the Orality Movement through Dynamic Equivalence

From 2 April to 30 June, a team of six riders will traverse 15 Southern African nations. This is not a sightseeing tour; it is a strategic mission to reach YWAM Bases, to help establish outreach posts for University of the Nations Bible Engagement College students, to finish their degrees in Africa. There is a reason for this. (See pictures below from GO31.org

The Challenge: The Great Silence

While the Bible has been available in English for over 600 years, there are still over 1,200 language groups—representing 100 million people—who do not have a single passage of Scripture in their mother tongue.
Furthermore, 80% of the world is oral learners. This isn't just about illiteracy; it is about how people perceive the world and interact with truth. For many Frontier Peoples, a printed book is a foreign concept, but a story told in their own tongue is life-changing. 3 Billion people still need to have access to hear the Gospel one time, and we will be training African missionaries to go to these very difficult places to reach.

The Solution: OMT_OMT + SandboxBible (SBB)

We are combining the mobility of the OMT (Oral Mother Tongue _ On More Tracks) movement with the pedagogical power of the SandboxBible.

-
OMT_OMT : Using (On More Tracks) motorcycles to bypass geographical barriers and reach remote villages where traditional vehicles cannot go, speaking in the Oral Mother Tongue.
-
SBB (The Tool): Using Dynamic Equivalence Translation to communicate the core message of Scripture. We aren’t just translating words; we are translating meaning—considering culture, figures of speech, and context so the heart of the message lands with the same impact today as it did 2,000 years ago.
A Tri-Sensory Gospel Experience

When you combine OMT_OMT with SBB, you create a powerful Visual, Audible, and Kinesthetic Bible experience. This "Sandbox" approach allows oral cultures to:

-
See the story (Visual)
-
Hear it in their mother tongue (Audible)
-
Engage with the narrative physically (Kinesthetic)
This combination makes it easy for new frontier churches to learn the Bible by heart. Because they "own" the story, they are immediately equipped to fulfill the Great Commission by re-telling it to the next village.

Why Your Sponsorship Matters

-
Funding the "Last Mile": Providing the fuel and gear needed to reach the YWAM Bases.
-
Breaking the Language Barrier: Supporting the Orality movement.
-
Investing in Multiplication: Equipping oral learners to become indigenous missionaries.
-
Investing in creating a pathway for the University of the Nations' students to finish their Bible degree.
-
Real-Time Storytelling: We will be documenting every border crossing, sand-pit, and community encounter, providing you with unique media assets from the heart of Africa.
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne...” (Revelation 7:9)

Sub-Saharan Africa has the most Christians, and we need to disciple and train them to reach the 3 billion unreached people. (GO31.org)
